About us

The parishes of Kelloe and Coxhoe became a combined benefice in 1996. The benefice is situated South East of Durham City.

St Mary’s church was built in 1868 and is centrally located within the village.

Since September 2016 our priest in charge is the Revd Alison Richardson.

There is a parish room which hosts the coffee mornings on Tuesday and Thursday  mornings and other ad hoc events.

We  have a modern sound system , with a T Loop, which was installed in 2009 and has enhanced our worship since then.

Apart from traditional Sunday and mid-week communion, we mark special times of  the year, such as Harvest, Christmas, Lent and such with additional services including Evensong.
